but today’s release of Lil Gothams Chapter 11, mother’s day issue was an extra special issue for myself and Derek. Not only does it celebrate the idea of mothers, fathers, and family,. but to kick off the 2-set, we wanted to give a fun nod to Paul Dini, who created Colin with us a few years ago in a title called Batman: Streets of Gotham.

Colin holds an extremely special place in our hearts. He brings a much needed positivity to Gotham, as well as Damian. Both with complicated pasts and being brought up in difficult environments.. i just felt they were meant to be buddies and have more in common than they’ll realize.

anyway, here’s a clip of Paul being harassed by another character he is considered a father to- the always adorable Harley Quinn.

My last two “weekly drawing time” pictures. I love that Leo sits directly in front of the TV to watch Space Heroes because that’s what I always did as a kid, so I tried drawing a slightly younger Leo enjoying Sat morning cartoons.

And then there’s Raph. Because. It just wouldn’t be a proper post without Raph, lol. Had a little extra time on this one, so I added some minor (not terribly well thought out) shading. My dad said his kneepads and fist looked huge, a friend of mine said he looked chubby, and another friend of mine said he looked like “a grenade on legs”. XD

There are times when someone commissions their favorite character and I think, “I’m glad they like my pins enough to want one of their favorite character, but it’s not a very exciting pin.” And then there are people like this person, who know exactly what makes a good pin - distinctive heads. Apologies for the terrible image quality - I’m lacking scanner access at the minute so I had to take these photos on my phone

I was reading hyperbole and a half’s blog entry explaining their experience of depression and decided to make another sketchy comic based on my experiences with anxiety, which is another mental illness I think people tend to misunderstand quite frequently

Hopefully this will be of use to some people - whether they suffer from anxiety themselves or if they just want to know more about it

This is all so true, except I’ve never been one to tell people when I feel anxious because I automatically expect that “4th or 5th” time response. I just stop talking altogether until the thing causing the major anxiety is over, even if that means two full years of middle school.

This is an excellent little comic, and hopefully those who don’t understand why someone like me might act this way will gain something from it.
